Although we humans see the effects of the oil gushing in the Gulf of Mexico in the approaching land, the costs to the environment are much greater than what we will ever know.
We must hope that something can be done to stop or greatly slow down this spilling oil soon caused by self-indulgence, but the damage from humans in their lust for oil and the greed of the corporate rulers that decided cutting corners in order to maximize profit will be transform the ecology of the gulf for decades if not longer. No concerns for the environment fish or wildlife. Just keep drilling. Who knows when it will ever recover?
