Tea Party NAACP

Racism is front and centered since the election of the first African American president in history. The Tea Party movement started early this year to repel against taxes and government intervention in an effort to minimize the government’s involvement in individual’s rights. Instead of pushing this agenda forward which was gaining momentum, with recent protest of stimulus packages for banking, auto industry, housing market collapses and downward slide in the economy. The Tea Party has shifted. A victim of its own strategy.

Is the Tea Party really expressing what they feel? The Tea Party is made up of diehard Republicans, but not all Republicans agree or support the Tea Parties movement. The 2010 agenda was to promote laissez-faire protest against federal law social programs, social security, health care, environmental protection agency, union’s any and all progressive legislation and regulation since the Sherman Anti-Trust Act of 1890. Now racism, big oil, big business and control of more government involvement.

Since President Barack Obama took office as the 44th President, the Tea Parties political strategy is winning white voters by demonizing African Americans.

The NAACP during its yearly National Convention drafted a resolution addressing racism in the Tea Party movement. What the resolution pointed out were individual incidents of racism observed at some Tea Party rallies. What the NAACP did was ask Tea Party leaders to “repudiate the racist elements and activities within the tea parties movement”. The mass media that attended all Tea Party gatherings reported racist placards signs promoting racism as the rallies was infested with racist rants demonizing African Americans by hidden racially charged code language directed at President Obama.

The NAACP supports the political, educational, social and economic equality of rights of every human and to eliminate race discrimination. That is the purpose of the resolution to the Tea Party.

The Tea Party has included in its anti- government agenda political movement racist, bigots and anti-Semites pushing white dominance through Sarah Palin. The Tea Party supports Kentucky Senate candidate Rand Paul, a Tea Party activists and favorite who stated in his campaigning he would take the nation back to the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to change that law denying services to certain races.

Some fractions within the Tea Party movement are opportunists that pretend to deny their promotion of racism. Sarah Palin, the Tea Party and Fox News are out to destroy every accomplishment from the last 100 plus years starting with the environment, human rights and civil rights of today.

Racial taunts and racism has been evidence at Tea Party rallies. Photographs, signs and video evidence provide proof like the Des Moines, Iowa tea Party Billboard comparing President Obama to Adolf Hitler and Vladimir Lenin. The comparison of Obama to Hitler who committed genocide attempting to erase an entire race is racist. The Iowa party and their leaders agreed “that the image of Obama between Hitler and Lenin was offensive”, racist. According to reports “Hitler’s imagist are usually not allowed at North Iowa Tea Party gatherings”. Racial hate signs against African Americans are?

The latest racist rant from the Tea Party express spokesperson Mark Williams, a leading Tea Party group member, conservative talk radio host launched a hateful racial attack on the NAACP.

“Dear Mr. Lincoln

We Coloreds have taken a vote and decided that we don’t cotton to that whole emancipation thing. Freedom means having to work for real think for ourselves, and take consequences along with the rewards. That is just far too much to ask of us Colored People and we demand that it stop!

In fact we held a big meeting and took a vote in Kansas City this week. We voted to condemn a political revival of that old abolitionist spirit called the ‘tea party movement’.

The tea party position to “end the bailouts” for example is just silly. Bailouts are just big money welfare and isn’t that what we want all Coloreds to strive for? What kind of racist would want to end big money welfare? What they need to do is start handing the bail outs directly to us coloreds! Of course, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is the only responsible party that should be granted the right to disperse the funds.

And the ridiculous idea of “reduce[ing] the size and intrusiveness of government.” What kind of massa would ever not want to control my life? As Coloreds we must have somebody care for us otherwise we would be on our own, have to think for ourselves and make decisions!

The racist tea parties also demand that the government “stop the out of control spending.” Again, they directly target coloreds. That means we Coloreds would have to compete for jobs like everybody else and that is just not right.

Perhaps the most racist point of all in the tea parties is their demand that government “stop raising our taxes.” That is outrageous! How will we coloreds ever get a wide screen TV in every room if non-coloreds get to keep what they earn? Totally racist! The tea party expects coloreds to be productive members of society?

Mr. Lincoln, you were the greatest racist ever. We had a great gig. Three squares, room and board, all our decisions made by the massa in the house. Please repeal the 13th and 14th Amendments and let us get back to where we belong.

Sincerely

Precious Ben Jealous, Tom’s Nephew NAACP Head Colored Person.      ”

The modern day Tea Party was organized by political mumbo jumbo to keep the fat cats getting fatter. What has the Tea Party accomplished besides lending support to candidates for the upcoming 2010 election and current damage control from elements within? No clear candidate from the Republican Party has emerged as a presidential candidate, just massive political rhetoric especially against a sitting president. I don’t think the Tea Party is a racist organization, but they employ individuals with racist views within the party’s movement. Could the agenda be to do away with the two biggest minorities in the US?
