Earlier this year former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin weight in on Arizona’s immigration law challenge stating Arizona Governor Jan Brewer has “the cojones that our president does not when it comes to securing America’s borders”. Now it can be said that President Obama does not have the “cojones” to standup compromising the extension of the Bush tax cuts. I criticized Palin for calling out the President his administration and the Justice Department lawsuit against Arizona illegal undocumented immigration law SB 1070.
“Immigration law in Arizona is not only a hot topic, but controversial in immigration reform at the federal level. The Obama administration and the Justice Department won a brief immigration battle over Arizona as federal judge temporary blocks 12 different provisions of Arizona’s Senate Bill SB 1070.
Arizona Governor Jan Brewer is pushing SB 1070 to not only secure state borders but also for the rest of the country securing illegal undocumented immigrants from entry. SB1070 requires immigrants to carry registration identification at all times, provide law enforcement authority to question the status of eligibility. This also targets business that hires illegal immigrants.
Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin weight in on Arizona’s immigration law challenge on “Fox News” Sunday stating Arizona Governor Jan Brewer has “the cojones that our president does not when it comes to securing America’s borders”.
The Justice Department lawsuit argues that Arizona immigration SB1070 is invalid because it preempted federal law. The judge block is just a temporary suspension in immigration reform as Arizona will contest the provision block
Palin called Governor Brewer one of her “mama grizzlies”. She also stated “and, Jan Brewer, bless her heart, she’s going to all that she can to continue down the litigation path to allow secure borders because she’s-Jan Brewer has the cojones that our president does not have to look out for all American’s – not just Arizonans – but all Americans in this desire of ours to secure our borders and allow legal immigration to help build this country…. If our own president will not enforce a federal law, more power to Jan Brewer… to do what our president won’t do”.
To a degree Palin has a point. Why has the Justice department and the Obama administration filed a lawsuit? The feds will try to exhaust all avenues for bipartisan immigration reform. If Arizona SB1070 is not reformed, president Obama will offer Amnesty to illegal immigrants.”
Palin provided her lack of leadership by quitting midway through her elected term as the Governor of Alaska, and continues disrespecting a sitting president. Obama may have stumbling issues as the Commander in Chief of this country. At least Obama has the cojones to serve out a full term.”

Obama caved in on the tax cuts extension when he should have fought this one. This would have been his defining moment. The critics would have eased off of Obama’s back if he had battled not to extend the Bush tax cuts promising to expire the tax cuts during his Democratic presidential campaign. No, instead the richest 2 percent of the country got an extension of tax cuts they didn’t need at a cost to the middle class. The very class Obama claims his “change” was meant for. President Obama should have been fighting against special-interest and lobbyist of the wealthiest Americans one year into his presidency or earlier this year. Now Obama has backed the middle class into a corner with a compromise for the next two years.
Had Obama argued the tax cuts earlier, he could have resolved the issues concerning small businesses. Big Business only creates a small percent of jobs for the middle class. Small business is the main source of middle class revenue opportunity. Now the little man is left with the burden of the wealthiest tax rates for the rich that is now considered a major out of pocket middle class expense. Thanks to Obama.
Obama could have protected the middle class who create jobs with the payroll tax cut. But he allowed the moral majority to hold hostage the extension of unemployment benefits using that as leverage tax credits for the rich with refundable tax credits, and middle class tax cuts providing the recirculation of wealth will never fail with tax extension, tax bailouts and tax breaks when the rich can simply write a check to pay for their taxes.
Obama wanted to keep some things for the middle class in this compromise, but he lost the big battle a long time ago by not fighting the people who created the $12 trillion dollar deficit, government overspending and a stimulus package to bailout the auto and banking industry which was started by former Federal Reserve chairman Alan Greenspan. Plain and simple, greed. Greed has put America into this crisis along with this tax extension.
The president will now supervise over the redistribution of wealth taking it away from the middle and lower class distributing to the top rich 8 percent in America, like Robin Hood in reversal. Steal from the poor, giving to the rich. But the benefactors who will benefit from this compromise are not job creators, merely wealth recipients with tax breaks. The rich play a small role in consumer spending. The Bush tax cuts help make for the current weak economy. How many jobs will the rich create for the economy? That is why Obama’s fight to eliminate the Bush tax cuts for the top 2 percent of earners should have ended instead of extending.
He waited too long to fight for the middle class during a year end lame duck session to force a national debate on economic fairness between the wealthy who don’t mind adding massive sums to the deficit as long as it doesn’t interfere with their wealth. Taxes on the middle and lower class won’t damage the economy except when they are levied to spare the rich from an growing tax burden that will increase their share of wealth. The middle class is backed into a corner having to defend like a mad dog
Obama lack to expire the tax cuts, it appears he does not have the “cojones” to fight for the middle class and might compromise his own parties issues. Sarah Palin had it correct? It appeared as a shame when she stated earlier this year that Obama had no “cojones”. She was right. I apologize.
