Secondopinionpundits is launching a petition requesting the Department of Justice investigate potential violations of U.S. law by News Corporation which owns Fox News. News Corp closed down “News of the World” due to allegations of phone hacking.
The allegations include trying to access civilian’s voice mail, personal information, bank accounts, family’s medical records, private legal files, exploitation with intent to gain access to or use private information for their use, hacking into mobile phone numbers, hacking of PIN codes, the kind required to access the voicemail factory settings on mobile phones.
The names are said to include those of politicians, celebrities, British soldiers, a missing murdered girl, and both British and American victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks. Family members of 9/11 victim families are calling for an investigation into allegations that News Corporation hacked into voicemail boxes of 9/11 victims.
News Corporation owns Fox News, what I call the Infotainment Network for their deceptive practice journalist reporting and skirting of facts fabricating propaganda. This is an opportunity for Congress to hold the owner of Fox News accountable for spying into the personal lives on Americans. News Corporation is a U.S. company that operates Fox News, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Post.
Because of the recent allegations about the violation of ethical standards by the News Corporation and its subsidiary, Senator John Rockefeller (D-WV), stated that “there should be a government investigation into News Corporationto determinewhether or not American” civilrights were violated.1Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) has requested an investigation into 9/11 victims, as well as Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) who urgedan investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission. Representative Peter King (R-NY) wrote a letter to the FBI requesting an investigation into News Corporations immoralexercises. Since then the FBI opened a probe into the hacking of 9/11 victims by journalist of News Corporation.
U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder announced he is starting an investigation of News Corp. The Justice Department could launch a probe into News Corporation’s phone hacking scandal. Congressional members of Congress are calling for an investigate of those same allegations for violations
Secondopinionpundits is calling on Congress to investigate.
